Love Mobile® CEO joins the Startup x Disruption panel at Gradient’s flagship innovation conference on Sept. 24, alongside leaders from Manna and Gitwit.
TULSA, Okla. Koddi Dunn, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Love Mobile® Incorporated, will speak on the Startup x Disruption panel at CHROMA 2026, Gradient’s flagship innovation conference, on Thursday, Sept. 24.
She joins Vincent Murray of Manna and Simon Turner of Gitwit for a 40 minute conversation moderated by Erin Conrad of News on 6. The session begins at 2:24 p.m.
The panel takes up a single question: what happens when someone decides the established way is not the only way. Three founders. Three industries. One conversation about challenging long held assumptions and building something the category did not ask for.
Wireless is among the most consolidated industries in America. The category has been settled for years, and the terms of competition have been settled with it. The whole industry fights over price.
Love Mobile® was built on a different question. Koddi and her husband and co-founder Wade Dunn Jr. started the company at their kitchen table by asking what if cell phones could be used as a force to support the greater good.
Everyone pays a phone bill. Almost nobody can reach a power grid or a water system, but a phone is in every hand in America. That made it the one utility where giving could be designed in from the start.
That question produced a licensed carrier. Love Mobile® is carried on three of the major US networks, branded Love Pink, Love Blue and Love Red, and serves customers across multiple states. Plans start at $15 a month. Every plan funds nonprofit partners across four pillars: education, environment, community services, and pet services and adoption.
The giving is not a campaign attached to the company. It is built into the product. Customers buy the phone service they already needed, and nonprofit partners get funded every month for the life of the account. No round up at checkout. No donate button. No extra line on the bill.
At 1,000 subscribers, the Give Back Model™ can fund up to $120,000 a year for a single nonprofit. Depending on which pillar a customer chooses, that is roughly 24 scholarships, or 120,000 trees, or 336,000 meals, or 600 spay and neuter surgeries.
That is the disruption. Not just a cheaper plan. A different answer to what a phone company is for.
CHROMA is a one day conference held at Gradient in downtown Tulsa, built around a single question: what does it take to turn regional strengths into globally significant companies?
The 2026 program runs across four tracks covering founders, capital, enterprise and ecosystem, with keynotes, panels, fireside chats, more than 20 startup showcases and tech demos, and curated one to one matchmaking. Fast Company and TechCrunch are covering the event.
Stride Bank is the presenting partner. Microsoft is program partner, Google is matchmaking partner, Tulsa Innovation Labs is innovation partner, and the Oklahoma Commercialization Network is Startup World Cup partner.
The curated matchmaking brings a deeper bench into the building. Microsoft, NVIDIA, Walmart, Williams, Lumen Technologies, ONE Gas and Zeeco are taking meetings on the enterprise and technology side. On the capital side: Cortado Ventures, Flyover Capital, Serac Ventures, OLSF Ventures, FortySix Capital, Endeavor Heartland, 412 Angels and Cherokee Nation. Gitwit participates as a venture studio, and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce represents state economic development. Gradient has said more organizations will be announced.
That is the weight behind the question CHROMA is asking. Founders do not usually get a room where NVIDIA, Walmart and a dozen active funds are all sitting down for scheduled conversations in a single afternoon.
The day closes with the Tulsa Regional of the Startup World Cup, a competition held in more than 70 countries, running from 6 to 8 p.m. in the same room. The Tulsa winner advances to the global final for a shot at a $1,000,000 investment prize. Every CHROMA ticket includes entry.
Gradient is a Tulsa based innovation hub and 501(c)(3) organization housed in the historic OTASCO warehouse in the Tulsa Arts District, where it activates 112,000 square feet built for work, connection and momentum.
In 2026, InBIA recognized Gradient as both Global Entrepreneurship Support Organization of the Year in technology and Global Entrepreneurship Center of the Year. The organization counts more than 4,000 members and reports $1.76 billion in five year total impact.
CHROMA falls in the middle of Tulsa Tech Week, which runs Sept. 21 through 26 across downtown and North Tulsa. Built on public and private partnerships, the week describes itself in four words: where innovation meets opportunity.
It runs as a series of concurrent events, meetups, mixers, panels and demos, organized around the industries the city is investing in: advanced manufacturing, energy, aerospace and defense, transportation and logistics, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems. More than 100 organizations supported the 2025 edition, among them Microsoft, Cloudflare, Build in Tulsa, and Black Tech Street.
A week of programming spread across a city is one way to measure an ecosystem. A company that started at a kitchen table and now speaks on its main stage is another.
