Service Built In: Wade Dunn Jr. at Tulsa Sunrise Rotary

Love Mobile® co-founder Wade Dunn Jr. brought The Cellphone Company That Gives Back® to the Rotary Club of Tulsa Sunrise. He left a room of lifelong volunteers with a new way to serve: giving that happens every month, without anyone having to remember it.

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Wade Dunn Jr., co-founder and COO of Love Mobile®, spoke to the Rotary Club of Tulsa Sunrise. Co-founder and CEO Koddi Dunn joined him to take questions. The room heard how a Tulsa company turned the one bill every family pays into monthly funding for local nonprofits.

At a glance

  • Who: Wade Dunn Jr. and Koddi Dunn, co-founders of Love Mobile®
  • Where: Rotary Club of Tulsa Sunrise, Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • When: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
  • The big idea: Service built in. Every Love Mobile® plan funds nonprofits every month, automatically, at no extra cost to the customer.
  • Who it funds: Nonprofits in education, environment, community services, and pet services and adoption

Service above self. Service built in.

Wade opened by borrowing Rotary’s own motto. “Rotary says service above self,” he told the room. He pointed to Rotary’s decades of work to end polio. That, he said, was all he needed to know about the people in front of him.

Then he showed them what Love Mobile® adds to that tradition. At Love Mobile®, giving is not a campaign or a line in a budget. It is built into the product.

“The Cellphone Company That Gives Back® is registered,” Wade said. “That’s not just a philosophy. That’s the business.”

A kitchen table question that started a phone company

The story starts in Georgia, at the family kitchen table. Wade and Koddi are raising seven children. Their two oldest had just left home for college, with two more close behind.

Koddi asked the question that changed everything. Their family served the community they lived in. But their kids were heading to places that service never reached. How could giving back go wherever people go?

The answer had to pass three tests. It had to be automatic. It had to cost families nothing extra. And it had to keep going when times got tough.

“We didn’t start a company and then decide to give back. We decided to give back so we started a company.”

Wade Dunn Jr. explains how Love Mobile® builds giving into every plan to Tulsa Sunrise Rotary members

Why Love Mobile® chose the phone bill

Wade walked the room through the logic. When money gets tight, families still pay for what they need to live: the mortgage, the lights, the water. Utilities stay paid.

Of every utility, the phone is the personal one. Neighbors share a power company. They rarely share a phone plan.

So Wade and Koddi built a wireless company. Love Mobile® is prepaid wireless, carried on three of the major US networks, branded Love Pink, Love Blue and Love Red. Plans start at $15 a month, with no long-term contract.

“All they did was pay their cell phone bill,” Wade said of Love Mobile® customers. “They didn’t lose anything.”

How Love Mobile® gives back, every month

Telecom had no system for giving back, so Love Mobile® built its own technology to do it. Support reaches nonprofits two ways:

  • Local by default. Customers in an area fund vetted nonprofits in that same community, across four areas: education, environment, community services, and pet services and adoption. “The money that we get from this area doesn’t leave this area,” Wade said.
  • Through Premier Love Partners™. Each partner nonprofit gets its own Love Mobile® page with a link and QR code. When supporters sign up there, a portion of their bill goes to that partner.

Either way, this is not a one-time gift. It happens every month, for the life of the account. Nonprofits join at no cost. Tulsa partners include NAMI Tulsa and BeHeard Movement.

A nonprofit partner can receive up to $120,000 a year.

A nonprofit can receive up to six figures a year. Give Back Model™ figures are illustrative and vary by program, selected plan, nonprofit partner and participation.

“If we walk away from it, we’re walking away from the company,” Wade said. “It’s not an add-on.”

What that looks like in real life

Koddi shared a recent conversation with a partner that serves young women, a program she went through herself as a girl. Its director told her the organization would have to cut about $10,000 of mental health outreach. Koddi’s answer: “No, we’re not.” Love Mobile® put up a partner page for the program right away, so it now receives support every month, not just this year.

Sharp questions from a room that knows service

Rotarians asked the questions that matter to people who fund good work:

  • How much of each bill goes back? It varies by plan, and every plan gives.
  • Does the money stay local? Yes. Giving from Tulsa customers supports Tulsa nonprofits.
  • Where can people sign up? Love Mobile® went fully live in April and is open in 15 states, starting with Oklahoma, with more on the way.
  • How do two founders build a phone company? Wade and Koddi ran a technology company for 13 years first. “Telecom is nothing but internet,” Wade said.

Members also heard how Love Mobile® activates service by eSIM, often in minutes, backed by 24/7 live support. One plan even puts all three networks on a single phone.

“You have a Rotarian heart”

The morning closed with the club’s raffle and a gift for Wade and Koddi: coffee mugs for their own kitchen table. On the way out, one member summed it up: “You have a Rotarian heart.”

“When you have a desire to do good,” Wade told the room, “you’ll always find a way.”
