Love Mobile Announces Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta as Its First Official Nonprofit Partner

Today, Love Mobile Incorporated is proud to announce Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta as our first official Love Partners™ nonprofit.

This isn’t a random selection. It isn’t a marketing decision. It’s a full circle moment years in the making.

Over 160 Years of Showing Up for Girls

Girls Inc. was founded in 1864 to serve girls and young women experiencing upheaval in the aftermath of the Civil War. The mission was simple then and it’s simple now. Create a safe space. Pour into girls. Believe in their potential before they believe in it themselves.

The Atlanta chapter has its own origin story. A painful one. In 1974, a 9-year-old girl named Debbie Randall was abducted and found two weeks later, raped and murdered. That tragedy sparked the creation of a safe after-school environment for girls in Cobb County. Two women, Irma Glover and Joyce Dunaway Parker, took that grief to the Marietta City Council. What started in a one-room trailer became the Cobb-Marietta Girls Club.

In 1998, the organization expanded to become Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta, growing beyond Marietta to serve girls throughout the entire metro area.

That’s the foundation this partnership stands on. Not a trend. Not a corporate initiative. A 160-year commitment to the belief that every girl deserves a chance to grow up strong, smart, and bold.

Over the past 50 years, GIGA has served more than 135,000 youth through programs that improve academic achievement, support on-time graduation, strengthen resilience and wellness, expand access to STEAM, leadership, and workforce opportunities, and connect families to critical resources.

Their mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. And since the pandemic, that mission has expanded. GIGA now provides programming for boys as well, who make up approximately 30% of their participants. Because when a community is under-resourced, the whole community needs lifting.

The goals are concrete. Increase academic skills and on-time graduation. Improve resilience and reduce risk factors for wellness. Increase access to opportunities, connections, and resources. Advance life skills and provide future employment pathways.

This is not a feel-good program. This is infrastructure for human potential.
